Minacs Places Fourth in the Global Services Survey!

Aditya Birla Minacs has been ranked number 4 among 100 global players as the best performing BPO for the year 2009. The Global Services 100 and the 11 category winners were announced at the Global Services Conference 2009 at NYC on February 26, 2009. The list represents companies who have the maturity and capability to lead the next wave of services globalization.

Hundreds of global IT and BPO service providers were invited to participate in this year's survey. The response was overwhelming. Service providers from 19 countries, with delivery centers across 31 countries, comprised the list of participants. Participant's responses were evaluated broadly on below four parameters: size (revenue, employee strength and global delivery capability); customers (customer base, client references and case studies and average contract size); skills (depth and breadth of offerings, delivery capability, quality initiatives and industry verticals covered); and employee factors (attrition, training initiatives and investment in employee retention).

The Global Services 100 survey is conducted by Global Services media in conjunction with neoIT.

Minacs Unites with UNICEF

AIDS is a disease that puts families at risk. Around the world, there are 15 million children under the age of 18 who have lost a mother or father (or sometimes both) to AIDS.

Children are growing up without the guidance that comes from role models, without the support that comes from family, and without the love that comes from parents.

Aditya Birla Minacs employees have partnered with UNICEF Canada to help.

Over the next two months (May 6 - June 15), to coincide with Mother's Day and Father's Day, Minacs employees across North America are raising funds to provide families in India, a country which has over 2 million people living with HIV, with treatment and support services. A special focus of the campaign will be on the prevention of mother- to- child transmission (PMTCT) of HIV. UNICEF's PMTCT programme supports women in minimizing the risk of HIV transmission to their infants through appropriate testing and the provision of antiretroviral medication (ARV).

The impact of Aditya Birla Minacs employee giving campaign will go a long way to help ensure that children are protected from the devastation that comes with AIDS.

Aditya Birla Minacs Acknowledges Earth Day - April 22

In recognition of Earth Day 2008, Minacs rolled out broader environmental awareness across our international organization by encouraging creative, grassroots initiatives at the site level.

With 13,000 employees worldwide, the Minacs organization is about the size of a small city. A company of this magnitude can have a sizable impact on the environment, from the energy it takes employees to commute daily to the waste that is produced within our offices. We're encouraging employees to pursue activities that help the environment and to fundraise for environmental causes, such as Earth Day Network and Earth Share.

Minacs is working with suppliers to minimize the usage of harmful chemicals in our workplace. We're working to reduce the number of desktop print jobs produced daily and utilizing a company-wide recycling program. We're installing motion sensor lighting and replacing regular light bulbs with energy efficient fluorescent tubes at all of our sites to reduce energy consumption. These small steps can make a big difference in lightening our corporate ecological footprint.

Our parent company, Aditya Birla Group, has a record of corporate social responsibility, reaching out to more than seven million people annually in an effort to make a difference. We're now expanding that effort to our environment. By starting from within, Minacs hopes to celebrate each Earth Day with increased efforts that make a real difference in all our lives.
