Annual Service charge reconciliation is a major responsibility for every property manager. In recent times, as property ownership changes hands at a faster clip, this has become an increasingly critical task as property owners seek to squeeze out every single drop of juice from the lemon! Service charge reconciliation refers to a complete comparison of all service charge income matched with service charge expenses (including prepayments and accruals) for a given period of time that allows exact computation of any credits or balancing charges from tenants and/or landlords.
